This time we get the head swapped off with the re-conditioned one. We put on the intake and exhaust manifold and then run in to a problem with a cam cap bolt. We explain how we fixed the stripped out bot then get the timing belt back on correctly… or so we think.

Today I started cracking open the 1997 Honda CR-V. This thing had bad valves when I got it two years ago and I got the head cleaned and resurfaced but that wasn’t enough as it was past the point of no return. Make sure you check your valves on the mid nineties Honda 4 cylinder engines approximately every 30,000 km. The valves can get pulled in to the block and then not seat properly causing a misfire and eventual head cracking. The valve lash measurements are under your hood on a sticker.
This afternoon back at Simon’s garage we got the Honda Accord Jacked up and start pulling it apart to see what the heck is going on in there. This might be a lemon…
I went over to Simon’s this afternoon to check out my 2002 Honda Accord. i need to get this going so i can work on other projects so we replaced the fuel pump and worked on trying to get it to fire up. The music in this video is my own recording of jamming with my bro.
